Hot wheels: Justin Bieber drives his $100,000 chrome-wrapped car in Los Angeles weeks after being pulled over for speeding

He was pulled over last month and slapped with a speeding ticket in his $100,000 chrome-plated car.
But it appeared Justin Bieber learned his lesson today as he cruised around in Los Angeles.
The 18-year-old pop star was pictured behind the wheel on Sunday afternoon after joining a few friends for lunch in Beverly Hills.

Dressed in a black shirt topped with a gold chain, camouflage baseball cap and dark sunglasses, Justin was pictured leaving the restaurant with his entourage.

The outing came just weeks after Justin was pulled over by police after being spotted driving at 80mph in his flashy Fisker Karma sports car - an 18th birthday present presented to him on Ellen in March.

 

While he appeared to be abiding the rules of the road today, the teen idol was stopped in July on the 101 Southland Freeway, near Calabasas, as he tried to get away from photographers who were pursuing him.

Los Angeles City Councilman Dennis Zine - a former motor officer - called the police after witnessing Justin's driving and said he believed the star was doing more than 100mph.

He told TMZ: 'Bieber was driving like a maniac. He was weaving in and out of traffic. There was hardly any space between cars as he weaved from lane to lane.

'If I was on patrol, I would have arrested him for reckless driving. I was going 60 and he drove by me like he was in a rocket ship. He was a maniac.'

Mr Zine added the paparazzi in pursuit of the star were also driving recklessly.

He allegedly was one of ten people to report the teen to authorities after seeing his driving, according to TMZ.

Justin was reportedly issued a speeding ticket for breaking the speed limit by driving at 80mph.
The singer's Fisker Karma is a hybrid powered sports car made in Finland, worth $100,000.

The bright silver chrome plated vehicle has a top speed of 125mph and can go from zero to 60 in 6.3 seconds.

The car was bought for him as a present for his 18th birthday earlier this year, and presented to him by his manager, Scooter Braun, on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

The incident was not Justin's first run-in with the law.

Justin, who is dating pop star Selena Gomez, made headlines in May after allegedly 'roughing up' a photographer.

He was also pulled over in his other car - a black Cadillac CTS-V Coupe customised to look like the Batmobile - last year, but was let off with a warning.

He also narrowly escaped a fine in December, after being stopped for making an unsafe left turn at a Los Angeles intersection.

Rob Dyrdek and Justin Bieber are pretty much bros. They are so close that they have joined forces on several occasions to put their friendship to celluloid with the MTV cameras rolling.
Bieber has appeared on two of Dyrdek's MTV series, "Fantasy Factory" (in 2011) and again on his viral video chat show, "Ridiculousness," in 2012. On top of that, master prankster Bieber also attempted to pull a fast one on Dyrdek when he hosted "Punk'd" earlier this year, only to find that the skateboarder was all too smart to get foiled by the teen pop star. So, why are Dyrdek and Bieber such besties?
"It's a weird friendship. It's like being friends with a unicorn," he joked to MTV News. "But the thing is that I've always from the first time that I met him, he's been so level-headed and smart and cool. Like he's very aware — for being that young — of his place in this world, despite it being some level of dream come true."
Dyrdek acknowledges the generation difference, but that doesn't stop the two from collaborating.
"At that age, he's just very hyper-aware, but the big thing is me and his dad are the same age," he added. "So I was like 'Man, I should adopt you. Like you know what I could do with your money? We could do so much with your money.' "
Bieber seemed pretty down with being Dyrdek's son, further recalling, "He's like 'That'd be amazing.' Like that was in the beginning. It was about that, and in the episode [of 'Fantasy Factory'] when I gave him the T-Rex [car] and you know his mom called me and was like 'Be honest with me, like is this too dangerous for him?' And I was like 'Nah, it's mellow. It's totally mellow.'
"When really I should have said, 'This is too crazy for him.' She should not allow him to do this. I lied to Justin Bieber's mom." The pro skateboarder says that the next time Bieber and him collaborate, it might be during the 18-year-old's Believe world tour. "No real plans or anything else on that front. We talked about me being a backup dancer for his concert tour," he said. "But I probably won't have time to make that dream come true."
